NEWS: "Busiest Festival Summer Ever"

This summer, CrowdScan experienced its busiest festival and event season ever. From King’s Day in Emmen to the largest fair in the Benelux in Tilburg, our team was ready to measure crowd density in a privacy-friendly way at every festival.

After a packed spring, the summer months were all hands on deck. With an average of one event per week, CrowdScan has had its busiest festival season.

Anton Dierickx (COO CrowdScan): “Our schedule was filled with both loyal and new client projects. Sinksen in Kortrijk was once again a great success, just like in 2023. We developed another out-of-the-box system to count visitors in the 22 participating museums of the Antwerp Museum Night. At the Sunrise Festival in Lille, we gained valuable insights into the flow and distribution of the crowds.”

"But most of our new projects were in the Netherlands," says Anton. "King’s Day in Emmen, where we operated simultaneously in three cities, was truly the crown jewel of our work. This was a successful collaboration with the Dutch Police and our partner Argaleo. And let's not forget Tilburg Kermis, the largest fair in the Benelux."

Thanks to privacy-friendly, real-time measurements of crowd density, CrowdScan helps make events safer and more efficient.

"We remain committed to making events safer through real-time data and actionable insights. Our solutions allow immediate intervention when a certain area becomes too crowded," Anton continues. "The data we gather also enables organizers to optimize future events even further."

Additionally, the CrowdScan solutions offer valuable insights into crowd density in specific zones, such as narrow passageways, large squares, and waiting areas. This allows for much more efficient event planning. "For example, during the crowd measurements in a VIP zone, we noticed the area never exceeded 40% capacity. With this insight, organizers can sell more VIP tickets at future events, knowing there is ample capacity."

Last year, CrowdScan introduced its flight cases, allowing users to quickly and easily set up a solution for their events. These flight cases are available for rent or purchase.

The fall season already promises to be busy.
